On August 24, 2019, the second edition of India’s Biggest Startup Fest was held at Mankapur Stadium in Nagpur. Nagpur Startup Fest was created with the goal of promoting and celebrating Nagpur’s entrepreneurial spirit. Its goal is to provide a platform for start-ups and aspiring entrepreneurs to demonstrate their potential and discuss the challenges that every start-up faces when imagining a long-term successful venture.
Nagpur Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with the Indian Council for Technical Research and Development (ICTRD), is hosting the Nagpur Startup Fest 2019. It is a mission and goal to create a budding entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nagpur and to foster the same spirit in the long run.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated NSF. Nagpur startup fest is my favorite event and it is a matter of appreciation to me that such a grand event should be organized by the people of my city. He also said on this occasion that youth should use innovation to solve problems by taking inspiration from socio-technical matters and research. He also congratulated Mayor Nanda Jichkar and the convenor of the event Ketan Mohitkar on this occasion.
Government, academics, students, investors, and startups come under the same roof to celebrate the success of the Nagpur startup ecosystem. This year under the Nagpur Startup Fest, around 50 startup investors, vice-chancellors, government officials, and the general public presented their startups and get funded. About 20k + youth participated in this program. Nearly 100+ domain experts participated in various discussion forums and talks. Stalls of all major government departments, Startups, and companies were the attraction of the event. The event provided an opportunity for startups and entrepreneurs to register their startups and get the chance to meet and get funded by investors and government officials.
